Mac 10s were made in the US state of Georgia, and Uzis are made in Israel. Both are pistol caliber (most 9mm) submachine guns which are designed to be easily and cheaply produced by any machine shop. The Uzi is the better, more controllable weapon.
Mac 10 is not closed bolt, it is open bolt and was designed and built by Gordon Ingram of Military Armament Corporation.
